FirstEnergy Telecom Services ("FirstEnergy Telecom") has an extensive fiber optic network across a seven-state region in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and District of Columbia. It is part of FirstEnergy Corp, a $12.5 Billion Dollar Utility that provides competitive telecommunication services including high speed transport, to include Voice, Data and Video, to public and private entities. Directlink has partnered with FirstEnergy Telecom in the delivery of Directlink services, including Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, Data Center Integration, Colocataion Services as well as Dirctlink's ability to enhance our services in Outsourcing, Managed IT Services and Supplemental IT Services. FirstEnergy Telecom collaboratively provides planning, marketing, sales, design, engineering, operations and maintenance services to Directlink to develop and support our services related to fiber optic networks and wireless cell site deployment and application services.

FirstEnergy Telecom utilizes it's parent companies, FirstEnergy's right-of-way ("ROW"), easements, pole lines, underground conduit/duct systems, facilities and other assets that are useful in the deployment of Directlink Services.

In addition to the above services, FirstEnergy Telecom has extended capabilities in VoIP as well as "Broadband Over Power Lines" that is currently under engineering.

FirstEnergies parent's electric distribution companies' service territory in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey:

Because our advantage in the marketplace is our ability to utilize the Rights-of-Way of FirstEnergy Corp, our market is typically located within the Electric Distribution Company's (EDC) territory of FirstEnergy's family of companies . As an Exempt Telecommunications Carrier, we are not subject to the same Federal and State regulations that our EDC's are. This allows us to expand our markets beyond the EDC territories. We own and operate fiber optic cable in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Michigan, and Washington, DC. Our fiber optic network is made up of over 2700 route miles and 200,000 fiber miles touching over fifty Tier 1, 2, and 3 metropolitan areas.
