FirstEnergies parent's electric distribution companies' service territory in
Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey:
Because our advantage in the marketplace is our ability to utilize the Rights-of-Way of FirstEnergy Corp, our market is typically located within the Electric Distribution Company's (EDC) territory of FirstEnergy's family of companies . As an Exempt Telecommunications Carrier, we are not subject to the same Federal and State regulations that our EDC's are. This allows us to expand our markets beyond the EDC territories. We own and operate fiber optic cable in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Michigan, and Washington, DC. Our fiber optic network is made up of over 2700 route miles and 200,000 fiber miles touching over fifty Tier 1, 2, and 3 metropolitan areas.
